November 9th, 2011 - The Conservative government has tabled legislation that will end the National long-gun registry. The registry was created as part of a response to public pressure, particularly through women, to strengthen gun control legislation following the tragic events at the École Polytechnique, December 6, 1989. Please support the CLC’s campaign to keep the registry.

July 6th, 2011 - NCA Negotiations Update Negotiations with the advertising industry (represented by ACA and ICA) are progressing; but have not yet resulted in a settlement of a new National Commercial Agreement (NCA). Until we conclude an equitable settlement, the terms, rates and conditions of the current NCA will continue unchanged.

National Commercial Negotiations: Have your say!
March 23rd, 2011 - The National Commercial Agreement (NCA) expires on June 30, 2011. The agreement between ACTRA and the Institute of Communications and Advertising (ICA) and the Association of Canadian Advertisers (ACA) covers all English language television, radio and new media commercial work done in Canada by signatory advertising agencies.
