ACTRA has reached a tentative settlement with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) to extend the term of the ACTRA-CBC Radio and Television Agreements for a one-year period, to June 30, 2013. Under the new deal, performers would see a fee increase of 1.5%, retroactive to July 1, 2012. In addition, the CBC will make a one-time payment to ACTRA in the amount of $5,000 (representing .5% of ACTRA member annual CBC earnings), which will be used to benefit ACTRA members.

All members eligible to vote should have received a ballot in the mail. The ballot return deadline is September 7, 2012 no later than 5:00pm EST.
