Theresa Tova’s Bio

Theresa Tova
National Treasurer

Theresa Tova is an award winning Actor, Writer and Singer. Recognized for her Gemini nominated role as Marge on the television show ENG she’s worked in television, film and theatre including starring roles in the National Broadway Tour of “Ragtime” and the Stratford Festival. Her award winning Holocaust musical STILL THE NIGHT garnered 4 Dora Awards and a Governor General’s award nomination for Excellence in Dramatic Literature. Tova has released two CDs and is described as a “towering, pan-cultural jazz-cabaret diva”. Tova tours internationally playing to multicultural crowds in Toronto, Montreal, New York, Paris, Germany, Switzerland, Holland and Luxembourg.

Theresa serves as ACTRA National’s VP of Communications and has been politically active in pursuit of children’s rights and clear protective regulations. Part of the IPA negotiating team, she helped clearly define the Children’s agreement for Independent Production in Canada. ACTRA Toronto appointed Theresa as the first ever ACTRA Toronto Children’s Advocate. She is the mother of two Biz Kids and the volunteer Kidz in the Biz Discussion Board Moderator at canadianactor.com
