Tyrone Benskin
Montreal
Tyrone Benskin is the National Vice President of ACTRA. He is and has always been, a Montreal performer, who works wherever he can, then comes home. He counts himself among the blessed who continue to work as a proud Canadian actor, and lives to tell about it.
Covering performance work from stage, small and big screen, to voice, animation and radio, his most notable credits include Karl Lubinsky in the Sci-fi Noir series Charlie Jade, DA Julian Hasty in CTV’s Mind Over Murder, the NBC mini-series 10.5: Apocalypse and CBC’s Sophie. Tyrone was also in the features Frank Miller’s 300 and I’m Not There.
When not in front of the camera, you can hear his voice as the Wildcat Beer guy, Rousso of the children’s series Whimzie’s House, or flying off to far of lands with you and Air Canada. Tyrone is honoured to continue working with ACTRA to secure the best conditions for his fellow members and to building a strong Canadian industry.
