TORONTO (March 25, 2026) – ACTRA celebrates today’s announcement of nominees for the Canadian Screen Awards (CSAs), recognizing an exceptional slate of Canadian performers whose work elevates Canada’s screen industry on the world stage.

“The fight for cultural sovereignty starts at home and these nominations make all Canadians proud and excited for the future of our domestic entertainment industry,” said Eleanor Noble, ACTRA National President. “ACTRA is thrilled to see so many members lauded as part of this vital investment in our culture, at a time when it is needed most.”

ACTRA commends the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television for listening to Canadians and taking meaningful steps to prioritize domestic performers at the CSAs. Following industry consultations in 2025, ACTRA proposed recommendations to strengthen the recognition of Canadian performers within the awards. The union continues to advocate for policies that promote domestic opportunities and ensure Canadian stories are told by Canadian voices.

ACTRA proudly sponsors the Canadian Screen Awards and congratulates all nominees from across Canada.
