At the January 19 ACTRA National Executive Meeting, the Chairs for the three National Standing Committees were confirmed by the National Executive. The Chairs are:

• Mariah Inger – Diversity & Inclusion Committee
• Madelaine Rose – Progress Pride Committee
• Jen Viens – Women’s Committee

ACTRA congratulates all three newly acclaimed Chairs and looks forward to witnessing their accomplishments as Chairs of these dynamic and important national committees.

‘GET REAL’ ABOUT ANTI-BLACK RACISM

ACTRA is pleased to invite all members to join an upcoming “Combatting Anti-Black Racism” workshop, presented by the Get REAL Movement. These interactive sessions are free and open to all ACTRA members and are scheduled on February 2, February 22, and March 2.

In the virtual workshop, you will learn and experience:

• How Anti-Black racism has appeared in film, both on screen and behind the camera.
• Current representation in our industry, demonstrating progress and highlighting gaps.
• Learn lived experiences of Get REAL speakers and industry professionals.
• Practical strategies to foster belonging and equity in filmmaking; and much more.
