FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA), the Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA) and the Association québécoise de la production médiatique (AQPM) have reached a tentative deal on a new three-year term of the Independent Production Agreement (IPA).
TORONTO, ON – ACTRA welcomes the government’s commitment to support the Canadian creative industries in today’s Speech from the Throne.
Please be advised that the film We Are, produced by: Sanjay Routray (Matchbox Pictures), Shant Joshi (Fae Pictures), Sanjay Suri, Onir (Anticlock Films) and Executive Produced by Deepa Mehta, is not signatory to any ACTRA Agreement and is therefore a non-union Production. ACTRA’s Constitution and By-laws prohibit union members from working on such productions.
